Conveyancer - Lydney
A well-established and growing law firm is seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join its property team in Lyney, Gloucestershire. This is an excellent opportunity for a conveyancer who enjoys managing their own caseload while working within a modern and forward-thinking legal environment.
The firm utilises a modern case management system and is currently developing its own conveyancing client app, designed to streamline communication, improve efficiency, and enhance the overall client experience.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload of approximately 40 residential conveyancing matters per month, handling transactions from initial instruction through to completion.
You will work closely with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other legal professionals to ensure transactions progress smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a full caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion
- Handling freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages, transfer of equity, and new build transactions
- Reviewing title documentation and conducting property searches
- Raising and responding to enquiries
- Drafting and reviewing contracts and legal documentation
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other third parties
- Ensuring files are progressed efficiently while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements
- Using the firm’s modern case management system to maintain accurate records and progress matters effectively
Requirements
- Previous experience managing a residential conveyancing caseload independently
- Strong knowledge of the UK residential conveyancing process
- Ability to handle high-volume transactions while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- Experience using case management systems
- Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, Legal Executive, or experienced Conveyancing Fee Earner (all levels considered depending on experience)
