Salary: £30,000 – £36550
Location: Hook
We’re working with a well-regarded gastro pub in the Hampshire countryside, known for its seasonal menus, quality ingredients and a kitchen that takes real pride in what leaves the pass.
They are looking to bring in an experienced Chef de Partie. This is a role for someone who enjoys being part of a close-knit family run pub .
If you enjoy cooking food that people genuinely travel for, this is well worth your time.
As Chef de Partie, you’ll take ownership of your section and play a key role in delivering a menu that blends classic pub dining with refined, modern touches. You’ll be trusted to run your section with consistency, keep things organised during busy services, and support the wider brigade to ensure every plate meets the standard expected. There’s room here to contribute ideas, learn from experienced chefs, and continue developing your craft in a kitchen that values attention to detail.
The business is an established, independent pub and restaurant set in a rural location, known locally — and further afield — for its food. The building itself has character, and the kitchen reflects that same care and thought, with menus shaped around seasonality and produce rather than trends. It’s a destination venue rather than a turn-and-burn operation, attracting guests who come for a relaxed atmosphere and well-executed dishes.
