HVAC Engineer (Service & Maintenance)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Engineer to join our well-established and growing business delivering high-quality building services across the commercial sector. This is a service and maintenance-focused role where you will be responsible for ensuring HVAC systems operate efficiently and reliably across a range of client sites. You will work predominantly on HVAC and mechanical systems (approximately 90% of your time), with the remaining 10% focused on air conditioning work. Your day-to-day activities will involve conducting planned preventative maintenance, diagnosing and resolving system faults, performing reactive repairs, and maintaining the highest standards of health and safety compliance while delivering excellent customer service on client premises.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on HVAC systems across multiple client sites
  • Diagnosing and repairing faults across heating, ventilation, and associated plant equipment
  • Performing minor works and reactive maintenance as required to restore system functionality
  • Ensuring full compliance with health and safety standards and regulations
  • Providing excellent customer service and professional support on client sites

Candidate Profile

We are looking for candidates who bring proven experience as an HVAC Engineer within the commercial sector, combined with strong technical fault-finding and maintenance capabilities. You should hold relevant HVAC and mechanical qualifications, demonstrate a methodical and safety-conscious approach to your work, and possess the reliability and professionalism required to work independently on client sites. While air conditioning knowledge is desirable, it is not essential. A full UK driving licence is required to access multiple client locations.

Experience & Expertise Required:

  • Proven experience working as an HVAC Engineer in the commercial building services sector
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across heating and ventilation systems
  • Relevant HVAC and mechanical qualifications and certifications
  • Air conditioning knowledge and experience (desirable but not essential)
  • Full UK driving licence
