Job Description

As a Commercial Catering Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining the operational efficiency of commercial foodservice equipment across Bristol and surrounding areas. You will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of a diverse range of gas and electrical catering equipment, ensuring minimal downtime for our clients and supporting their business continuity. Working independently across the region, you will diagnose faults, execute both reactive repairs and planned preventative maintenance programmes, and build strong relationships with clients through reliable, professional service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Service, maintain, and repair commercial catering equipment including ovens, fryers, grills, dishwashers, and refrigeration units
• Perform fault finding and diagnostics on both gas and electrical appliances to identify root causes and implement effective solutions
• Carry out reactive maintenance to address equipment breakdowns and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to prevent future issues
• Deliver excellent customer service, communicate clearly with clients, and maintain strong working relationships
• Complete accurate job reports and documentation to ensure clear records of all work undertaken
• Work independently across the Bristol region, managing your own workload and prioritising tasks effectively

Experience & Expertise Required:

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Commercial Catering Engineer
• Strong, hands-on experience with both gas and electrical catering equipment
• Valid COMCAT gas qualifications (essential)
• F-Gas certification (desirable)
• Full UK driving licence (essential); clean licence preferred with no major points
• Proven ability to diagnose faults and resolve technical issues independently
